The Anti-Virus section allows you to start a scan of the device, switch to configure the settings for Protection and device scans, and switch to the anti-virus database update and to configure its settings. This section also displays the Protection status.
Anti-Virus protects your device from viruses and other malware. Anti-Virus allows scanning files on the device, detecting and neutralizing malware, and updating the application anti-virus databases.

The Anti-Virus section contains the following buttons:
Start a full or partial device scan on request. You can select the scan area:
Switch to configure Protection settings, to configure scan device on request settings, and to start an anti-virus database update and configure its settings.
The Privacy Protection section allows you to enable/disable hiding of confidential information, create a list of confidential numbers, and configure Privacy Protection settings. This section also displays the Privacy Protection status.
Privacy Protection hides private data based on your Contact list which lists private numbers. For confidential numbers, Privacy Protection hides Contacts entries, incoming, drafts, and sent SMS as well as call history entries. Privacy Protection suppresses the new SMS signal and hides the message itself in the inbox. Privacy Protection blocks incoming calls from private numbers and does not display incoming call information on the screen. As a result, the caller receives a busy signal. To view incoming calls and SMS for the period of time when Privacy Protection was enabled, disable Privacy Protection. On the repeat enabling of Privacy Protection, the information is not displayed.
You can enable Privacy Protection from Kaspersky Mobile Security 9 or remotely from another mobile device. However, Privacy Protection can only be disabled from within the application.

Privacy Protection status. Privacy Protection mode set to Normal means that Hide confidential information is disabled. Privacy Protection mode set to Private means that Hide confidential information is enabled.
The Privacy Protection section contains the following buttons:
Enable/Disable Privacy Protection.
Create a list of private numbers. The Hiding contacts list contains confidential numbers for which Privacy Protection hides the information.
Note! Deactivate privacy protection prior to creating the Hiding contacts list.
Select private number data to be hidden by Privacy Protection, configure automatic enablement of the component and its remote startup.
The Anti-Theft section contains settings for the following functions: Block, Data Wipe, SIM Watch, GPS Find. This section also displays the status of each function.
Anti-Theft protects information stored on your mobile device from unauthorized access. Anti-Theft enables you to lock your device remotely, delete any information stored there, and pinpoint its geographic location (if your mobile device has a GPS receiver) using SMS commands from another device. Furthermore, Anti-Theft allows you to lock your device if the SIM card is replaced or if the device is activated without a SIM card.
To perform the above-listed operations, you need to know the secret code of the application set when Kaspersky Mobile Security 9 is first run on your device.

Statuses of Anti-Theft functions. If the name of a function is displayed in this section, it is enabled. All options enabled means that all Anti-Theft functions are enabled.
The Anti-Theft section contains the following buttons:
Configure remote blocking of access to device data. The application secret code would have to be entered to unlock the device.
Settings for deleting user details saved on the device (Contacts and SIM card entries, SMS, call log, calendar, Internet connection settings, user accounts except Google accounts), as well as folders from the list of folders to be deleted.
Configure response to SIM card replacement or device activation without a SIM card.
Configure device location settings.
The Call&SMS Filter section contains settings for blocking unwanted calls and SMS.
Call&SMS Filter prevents unwanted calls and SMS to be delivered based on the Black List and White List that you have compiled. Call&SMS Filter filters incoming calls and SMS according to the mode selected. The following modes are available:

Switching to mode selection and configuration of Call&SMS Filter's response to SMS from non-numeric numbers and to calls and SMS from numbers not on the Contact list.
Creating a list of numbers, from which Call&SMS Filter blocks incoming SMS and / or calls from being delivered.
Creating a list of numbers, from which Call&SMS Filter allows incoming SMS and / or calls to be delivered.
The Additional section allows you to switch to managing the application license, send a special SMS command to remotely start the Anti-Theft functions and enable Privacy Protection on another mobile device with an installed Kaspersky Lab application for mobile devices (such as Kaspersky Mobile Security 9), or adjust the advanced settings of Kaspersky Mobile Security 9.
