Privacy Protection settings

On the Privacy Protection settings screen you can select information and events that Privacy Protection will hide for private numbers, configure automatic enabling of hiding confidential information and its remote startup from another device.

Information to be hidden.

Switch to select information and events that Privacy Protection will hide for private numbers. The following settings are available:

Contacts check box.

Enable/Disable privacy protection for private numbers in Contacts.

SMS check box.

Enable / Disable the hiding of private number SMS in Incoming, Draft, Sent folders.

Incoming SMS check box.

Enable/disable hiding of new incoming text messages from private numbers. If the check box is checked, Privacy Protection suppresses the new SMS signal and hides the message itself in the inbox. To view the incoming SMS for the period of time when the hiding of confidential information was enabled, disable the hiding. On enabling the hiding of confidential information again, Privacy Protection hides this information.

Call entries check box.

Enable/Disable privacy protection for private numbers in call histories (answered, dialed, and missed call logs). If the check box is checked, Privacy Protection allows incoming calls but does not provide caller ID information for such calls. If the check box is not checked, Privacy Protection does not hide private number information in the call logs and provides caller ID information.

Incoming calls check box.

Enable/disable privacy protection for incoming calls from private numbers. If the box is checked, Privacy Protection blocks incoming calls and does not display any information about them, while the caller gets a busy signal. To view incoming calls for the period of time when Privacy Protection was enabled, disable Privacy Protection. When hiding private data is re-enabled, Privacy Protection will hide this information.

Automatic hiding.

Enable / disable the function which allows automatically enabling the hiding of confidential information on expiry of the set period of time. The functionality is activated once a mobile device goes to power save mode. The following settings are available:

Hide by SMS command check box.

Enable / disable the function which allows enabling the hiding of confidential information remotely from another mobile telephone with the use of an SMS command.


Enabling Privacy Protection remotely

You are able to activate Privacy Protection remotely from another mobile device. To accomplish this, first activate the Hide on SMS command option on your device. You will then be able to enable Privacy Protection remotely using one of the following methods:

Note! Outgoing SMS will be billed at the rates set by the mobile provider for the phone where the SMS command originates.
